Creative Technology's CYUV support is now available for XAnim Rev 2.70.6 and later. I can not distribute source code for CYUV so I instead distribute object modules that have been precompiled for various machine and OS combinations. The modules are then linked into XAnim at compile time. Please read the creative.readme file for more detailed instructions on how to do this.

The AVI animation format may use the Creative CYUV Video Codec. You can use the "+v" option with XAnim to get information about what Video and Audio codecs a particular animations uses.

Caution! Some WWW browsers are extemely brain-dead when it comes to downloading compressed files. They usually screw it up somehow, so always double check the size of the file you download. If much less than the size I give, the file is still compressed(even though the browser may have told you otherwise). Also note that they usually don't tell you if the file was truncated due to a network error and sometimes they don't even use binary mode, completely corrupting the file.
I highly recommend manually ftp'ing the files as described in the creative.readme and always verify the file size after uncompressing.

• Physcially provide me with such a machine/OS.
• Provide me with a cross compiler for your particular machine/OS that runs on a Sun Sparc/SunOS 4.1.3 machine. I'll compile it and you'll have to test the resulting module.
